Biography

Darren Wain is the IT program director at Harneys Fiduciary and is based out of our London office. He is responsible for overseeing strategic technology initiatives and ensuring the seamless integration of IT solutions to support our global operations. With extensive experience in financial services technology, Darren drives innovation and efficiency across our IT infrastructure, ensuring we remain at the forefront of digital transformation.

With over three decades of experience in IT leadership roles, Darren specialises in managing large-scale technology programs, digital transformation projects, and change management within wealth management and fiduciary services. His expertise spans software delivery, platform integrations, and operational improvements, ensuring that technology aligns with business objectives to deliver optimal client outcomes.

Darren joined us in 2018, bringing a wealth of experience from leading financial institutions. Before joining our team, he was a project manager at Barclays Wealth, focusing on offshore platform transformation. Prior to that, he held IT roles in both HSBC Security Services and HSBC Private Bank, where he led technology-driven initiatives in alternative fund services, global custody and private wealth solutions. Earlier in his career, he led the Technical Services and Operations team at Daiwa Securities Trust and Banking, overseeing the support, maintenance, and operation of desktops, networks, IT infrastructure, and trading systems.
