Murray is a director based on the West Coast of the United States, and works with multinational corporations, investment funds and high net worth individuals to structure and implement transactions through the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Anguilla and Bermuda.
Murray has particular expertise in working with private equity and venture capital funds based in San Francisco and Silicon Valley to establish their global fund structures and manage their offshore compliance obligations. He also focuses on supporting US-based multinational corporations on cross-border transactions, including establishing, maintaining and reorganising their foreign subsidiaries.
Murray started his career working as a mergers & acquisitions lawyer in the London and Hong Kong offices of a major international law firm, before spending half a decade advising on cross-border corporate transactions from Harneys’ BVI office. He also spent time heading the West Coast alternative investments desk at a publicly traded fund and corporate services provider (formerly a Blackstone portfolio company) in San Francisco.
Murray is a member of the American Bar Association Business Law Section and Section of Taxation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford.
