Biography

Nyssa-Kaye Darby is a deputy general counsel in Harneys Fiduciary. She is based out of our British Virgin Islands office and provides general legal support. She advises on a range of areas concerning corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance. With a background in financial regulation, she has also served as in-house counsel and board secretary for the Jamaica Financial Services Commission and developed expertise in the securities, private pensions, and insurance industries. Prior to joining in 2022, Nyssa-Kaye was the company secretary for a public company traded on the Jamaica Stock Exchange and for its subsidiaries. She provided governance support and advice to the boards of directors across the group of companies and was responsible for compliance with statutory requirements, exchange listing rules, and corporate governance best practices.
